AMS is pleased to announce the installation of the BSL-177 system, a device designed to remove Lutetium-177 (Lu-177), at Hokkaido University Hospital as part of a collaborative research project with the Graduate School of Medicine, Hokkaido University.
The research project, titled "Evaluation of Performance and Efficacy of the Lu-177 Removal System (BSL177)", is overseen by Professor Kenji Hirata. The BSL-177 system will be evaluated in a clinical setting to assess its performance in managing radioactive waste generated during Lu-177–based radiopharmaceutical therapy.
This collaboration represents a significant step toward improving the safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability of Lu-177 therapies. AMS remains committed to supporting healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical partners with practical solutions that align with evolving clinical and regulatory needs.
